Willie Bost

Mrs. Willie Ruth Hedrick Bost, 87, of Statesville, NC passed away Monday, May 09, 2011 at the Gordon Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bost was born November 25, 1923 in Catawba County and was the daughter of the late Wilburn Pickney Hedrick and Bessie Pope Hedrick. She attended Catawba High School and was married to the late James Orin Bost, who passed away February 17, 1986. She was a seamstress for Thonet Furniture Co. and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bost is survived by one son, James "Jim" S. Bost and wife, Leslie L. Bost of Statesville, two grandchildren, Kim B. Garris and husband, Steve of Statesville, James Ray Bost and wife, Helen of Statesville and two great grandchildren, Stephanie Garris and James David Bost. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bost was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cowles Bristol, III officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
