RURAL HALL Mr. William Newton Head,76, of Rural Hall, NC passed awayJanuary 5,2020athis home in Rural Hall, NC.The son of the late Henry and Treva White Head, William Bill was an Environmental Engineer and was the owner/operator of Tech Sys for 15 years before retiring. Mr. Head proudly served in the United States Air Force and is a member of Woodland Baptist Church.In addition to his parents, Mr. Head was pre-deceased by3brothers Odell, Henry (Al), and Tony Eugene Head,2sisters Geraldine Ireland and Joyce Sellers, and granddaughter Kaylan Hughes. He is survived by his wife of53years Janice Phipps Head,2daughters Angela Ely (Bobby) of Lawsonville and Lisa Smith of Winston-Salem, brother Calvin Adams (Carolyn) of Brown Summit,2sisters Shelby Hill (Don) of King and Mary Wray (Gene) of Rural Hall,3grandchildren Ericca Dawn Smith, Ashley Nicole Bohannan, and Faith Little,3great-grandchildren Skyler Bohannan, Emma Rae Hughes, and Kaleb Bohannan, 37 nieces and nephews whom he loves dearly, and very special friend for 65 years Don Hemric.A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for2:00 pmonWednesday,January 8, 2019atWoodlandBaptist Church inRural Hall, NC with Rev.Tim Gammons and Rev. Todd Caudleofficiating. The family will receive friendsone hourprior to the serviceat the church. Interment will follow the service atRural HallMemorial Park.The family acknowledges and are grateful for the professional and loving care administered by Dr. Demetrius Jacks and Dr. Mark Mitchell.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
