William Samuel Holland

William Samuel “Sam” Holland, 67 of Statesville, died Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home.

He was born in Iredell County on October 22, 1956, to the late William Fred Holland and Ollie Shoemaker Holland. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Samuel “Billy” Holland, Jr. a brother, Terry G. Holland and a sister, Kay Holland.

Sam had worked as a welder and was known to be one of the best. He enjoyed fishing, playing rook, and he loved the Lord. He enjoyed cutting up and making people laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Doris, a son, Terry Holland, five grandchildren, William III, Daniel, Haley, Gage, Hayden, a brother, Dennis Holland, and a sister, Gloria Prevette.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
