Wesley Mark Mesiemore, 46, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, July 13, 2014. Mr. Mesiemore was born July 23, 1967 in Iredell County and was the son of Judith Hope Riggs and the late Mark Leroy Mesiemore. He attended South Iredell High School and St. Stephens High School. He was disabled for a number of years, enjoyed working with antiques and collectables and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother and step-father, Jessie M. Riggs, he is survived by two daughters, Mandy Marie Lee (Charlie) of Mocksville, Allison Michelle Mesiemore of Lenoir, one son, David Raymond Mesiemore of Morganton, two sisters, Marla Michelle Johnson (Bryan) of Statesville, Monica Lee Monk (Tom) of Indiana, one grandson, Michael Adam Jones, grandmother, Ruth Benfield Hope and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jonathan Mark Mesiemore, maternal grandfather, Johnny Lee Hope, Sr. and paternal grandparents, James Harold and Alma Ruth Mesiemore. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2014, at Diamond Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Holleman officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 1:30 until 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will be assembled at the home of Judith and Monroe Riggs, 761 Barry Oak Road, Cleveland, NC. Active pallbearers will be Johnny Lee Hope, Jr, Norman Hope, Terry Hope, Eric Hope, Scottie Hope, and Joshua Bass. Memorials may be given to Diamond Hill Baptist Church, 2320 E. Broad Street, Statesville, NC 28625 or to Yokefellow Ministry, 1386 Shelton Ave, Statesville, NC 28677.
