Wesley Britain Wallace

Wesley Britain Wallace, 93, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Ripley, Ohio on September 11, 1923 to the late David T. and Mary Elizabeth Wagner Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a graduate of Russelville High School in Russelville, Ohio and served his country honorably in the Navy during WWII. On March 17, 1946, he married Betty Elaine Hardebeck and they shared over 63 years of marriage before her passing on June 10, 2009. Mr. Wallace was in the shoe trade for over 70 years and for over 30 years he was employed by Nu-Way Shoes as a cobbler until his health declined. Along with his parents and wife, Betty, he was preceded in death by six siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cynthia Jacox (Don) and Wendy Worley (Joe); three grandchildren, Carri Caskaddon (Tim), Kim Robinson (Jim), and James Compton (Kim); seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
