Wayne Combs Barker

Wayne Combs Barker, 50, of Stony Point, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on December 26, 1964 to the late Wilmath Sherman Barker and Betty Jane Combs Barker Chambers, who survives. Wayne was educated in Iredell County School and was employed by Hickory Chair as an eight way hand tie assembler. He attended Hillside Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are two brothers, Michael Barker and Scott Barker (Linda); a sister, Tammy Barker Lippard, all of Stony Point; and two uncles, Terry Combs of Stony Point and Steve Combs of Statesville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 25, 2015 at Hillside Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Stony Point United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
