Wanda Kennedy Henderson

Wanda Jean Kennedy Henderson, 75 of Union Grove, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Wilkes Medical Center.

 She was born in Fort Jackson, South Carolina on July 11, 1949, to the late Robert Perry Kennedy and Sarah Ruth Privette Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Preston Henderson, two brothers, Joseph Kennedy, Pete Kennedy, and a sister, Linda Hewitt.

 Wanda loved to bake cakes. A pound cake was one of her specialties. She also enjoyed doing cross stitch and needlework. Listening to gospel music and spending time on her laptop brought her a lot of pleasure. More than anything, she loved her family and spending time with them.

 Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Delane Dennison, two sons, Alfred Henderson and Charles Henderson (Nancy), a brother, Tim Kennedy (Jeanette), four sisters, Genny Howard, Susan Kennedy, Susan Pleasant and Sarah Pleasant, five grandchildren, Samantha Dennison, Toni Dennison Lyon, William Kennedy, Bobby Ray Pleasant, Nova Rose Hill, one great-grandson, Ryker Lyon and her grand-dogs, Loki and Fletcher.

 At her request, there will be no formal services held.
