Walter Herman Worsham

Walter Herman Worsham, 88, of Statesville, died Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his home. Born in Tacoma Park, Maryland on November 12, 1927, he was a son of the late Lewis Elmer Worsham, Sr. and Irene Lena Worsham. Mr. Worsham was a retired golf professional and a Century Member of the PGA. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty and their son, Mark along with three brothers, Bubby, Lew, and Buck. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Love Worsham, children: Laurie Fox (Warren), Bryan Worsham (Gary Craig), Linda Bennett (Bob), Elaine Martin, Jim Hare, Tim Hare and Nancy Savini. Also surviving are a sister, Uva Mae Cable, a devoted niece, Judi Stilwell (Aris), beloved nephews Ted and Rick, and eleven grandchildren. Services celebrating Mr. Worsham's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ervel Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 on Monday prior to the service.
