Wade Wesley Lentz

Mr. Wade Wesley Lentz, 81, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Lentz was born September 23, 1934 in Iredell County to the late Ernest Wade Lentz and Virginia McCoy Lentz. He was a graduate of Iredell County Schools and was married to Anne Stone Lentz, who survives of the home. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and after 30 years retired from Hoechst-Celanese. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by one daughter, Laura Alexander and fiance, Robert Troutman of Statesville, one son, Timothy Lentz and wife, Kayla of Taylorsville, four grandsons, Tyler Alexander, Davis Lentz, Hudson Lentz, Maddox Lentz; one sister, Janice Ervin of Salisbury and two nieces, Dalinda and Heather. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Duncan and Rev. Garry Revels officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
