Vivian Elaine Whitmire

Vivian Barnhardt Whitmire passed away peacefully on January 12, 2020 surrounded by her family after a lingering illness. Funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday January 18, 2020 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 13200 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte NC with Pastor Jeff Whitmire officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm -2pm, prior to the funeral service at the church. Vivian was preceded in death by her father Victor Barnhardt, her mother Elizabeth Stephens and her half sister Victoria Barnhardt. Vivians working career spanned 55 years holding multiple administrative positions. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Wilton Whitmire, her sister Cynthia Alexander and husband Joe, her children Wilton Whitmire Jr and wife Dawn, Michael Whitmire and wife Crystal, Jeffrey Whitmire and wife Tina, and Toree Barnhardt; her grandchildren Wilton Whitmire III, Parker Whitmire, Jake Whitmire, Max Whitmire, Nicholas Trail, William Trail and Erika Shields.
