Virginia Lucille Williams, 82, of Statesville, died Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was born September 27, 1936 to the late Virgil and Laura Williams. She was also preceded in death by a son; David Wayne Wilhelm, a sister, Beverly Horn and 2 brothers, Tommy Williams and Jessie Williams, and a grandson, Chance Wilhelm.

Virginia was retired from Iredell Memorial Hospital and was a member of Ham's Grove Baptist Church. She was a sweet and kind person, enjoyed helping others, loved working in her flowers, was a loving mother and loved her family.

Survivors include 3 sons; Dennis Wilhelm (Rebecca) of Conover, Scott Wilhelm of Newton, and Billy Ray Wilhelm (Bonnie) of Newton, 8 grandchildren; Josh (Chasity) Wilhelm, Caleb (Megan) Wilhelm, Angel Wilhelm, Jake Wilhelm, Matthew Wilhelm, Krystal (Neil) Phillips, Amber (Matt) Wimmer and Justin Wilhelm; 2 sisters; Betty Ann Williams of Statesville, Evelyn Ball of Alabama, and 2 brothers; Jessie Williams and Franklin Williams both of Statesville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Frankie Bentley and Pastor Joshua Bennett officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 prior to the service. Private burial will be Wednesday morning.
