Tracy Lagail Wilson

Mrs. Tracy LaGail Otey Wilson, 46, of Statesville, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born December 1, 1969 in Mercer County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Thomas R. Otey and Audrey LaGaye Barton Otey both of whom survive. Tracy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and active in the P.T.A. at her children's school. She worked at Iredell Memorial Hospital for 25 years and was active in Relay For Life and enjoyed time with her children. Words given to the family to describe her include her being a wonderful friend and an inspiration, a courageous battler, having a smiling face and a contagious perpetual smile and a positive attitude. Survivors in addition to her parents, include her husband, Perry Wilson, sons: Michael Elmore, Micah Wilson and Nicholas Wilson, daughters: Emily Elmore and Ana Wilson, her sister, Tammy Hodges (Ed), her nieces, Stacy and Kelly and her "babies" Bradly, Easten and Titus. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Charlie. Services celebrating Tracy's life will be conducted at 12:00 noon today (Saturday) at Fairview Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Eanes, Rev. Paul Hill and Rev.
