Tonya Ayers Jarvis

Tonya Ayers Jarvis, 45, of Harmony, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Jarvis was born in Iredell County on May 15, 1971, and was the daughter of Horace W. Meadows and Brenda Shaw Meadows. She was a graduate of West Iredell High School and Mitchell Community College. On September 29, 2012, she married Stacey Jarvis, who survives. Tonya was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union Grove and sang in the choir. She was employed with PNC Bank. Tonya was a wonderful loving and caring mother, sister and wife who loved her family with unconditional love. She loved the time spent at family gatherings. She was also a devoted Christian who loved her Lord, church and church family. Tonya was an inspiring woman who was full of life. She lived her life by her life verses which were John 14:1 KJV and Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Guy Bowles. In addition to her husband Stacey and her parents, Horace and Brenda Meadows, she is survived by her son, Michael Ayers, Jr. (Hayley Cavin) and her brother, Randall Meadows (Ginger) both of Statesville. She is also survived by two sisters, Angie Hoover of Kernersville and Debbie Steele along with her grandmother, Ann Bowles, both of Taylorsville. She is further survived by her aunt, Wanda Craver (Jimmy) of Yadkinville. Funeral services honoring the life of Tonya Ayers Jarvis will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Unity Baptist Church on Mock Mill Road with Pastor Steve Pope and Pastor James Moore, former pastor of Unity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Grove. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.
