Tony Alan Evans

Tony Alan Evans, 57, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his residence. He was born on May 8, 1958 in Iredell County to James Herman and Barbara Harris Evans, who survive. Tony was a graduate of North Iredell High School Class of 1976 and was a member of Society Baptist Church. Before his disability, he loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Lynn Evans in April of 2015. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Herman and Barbara Evans of Statesville; a sister, Gail Evans Mitchell; two nephews, Matthew Cody Mitchell (Lindsay) and Michael Brandon Mitchell; a great nephew, Seth Michael Mitchell, all of Hamptonville, and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Evans of Rock Hill, SC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Society Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends in the Sanctuary from 1:00 until 1:45 and in the fellowship hall following the committal service.
