Tommy Mitchell Jones

Tommy Mitchell Jones, 36, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on July 24, 1978 to Tommy Mitchell Myers and Mary Elizabeth Hambright Jones, who survive. Tommy attended North Iredell High and at a young age started working with his father at J. & W. Lake Service. He worked building piers and docks for over 20 years. He was married to Rachel Lyn West Jones, who survives. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jackie Ray Jones. Left to cherish his memory are his parents; wife, Rachel; two sons, Caleb Hupp and Tommy Aaron Jones; three brothers, Dale Jones (Lynn), Jody Jones (Lisa), and Tony Jones (Alisha), and a sister, Tammy J. Church (Bradley). Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. J. B. Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
