Mr. Thomas Earl (Tommy) Beach, 50, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday March 30th at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born June 16, 1965 in Iredell County, he was a son of Ernest Howard Beach and Carole Harmon Beach, both of whom survive. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Teresa B. McGarrity (Michael) of Greenville, S.C. and Rhonda Beach (Marc Poole) of Statesville. He is also survived by his beloved niece, Ellie McGarrity. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Myrtle and Fred Harmon, Dwight and Elnora Bennett all of Statesville and his paternal grandfather, Ernest Earl Beach of Black Mountain, N.C. In addition, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Steve Harmon, Gary Harmon and Kevin Bennett. Tommy graduated from West Iredell High School in 1983 and attended Mitchell Community College. He was disability retired after working at Bali Corp and Carolina Mills. He enjoyed music. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Tommy fought a long battle with various illnesses and is now at peace. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service celebrating Tommy's life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service. Private burial will be at a later date.
