Thea Lyle Perry

Thea Lyle Perry, 61, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Perry was born April 3, 1956 in Welch, WV and was the son of Richard Lyle Perry and Cora Blankenship Perry. He attended schools in West Virginia and previously worked for Baker Furniture in Hildebrand, NC. On October 20, 1993, he was married to Marlena Thomas Perry, who survives. He loved riding motorcycles, his family, especially his dog, Mousey and family gatherings. In addition to his parents and wife, Thea is survived by one daughter, Laurie Parsons Johnson (Keith) of Wilkesboro; two sons, Lawrence Edward Teaster (Tricia) of Statesville, Donald Lee Teaster of Statesville, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
