Terry Ann Lawson

Terry Ann Buck Lawson, 53, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the Gordon Hospice House. Terry was born on February 11, 1963, in Berrien Springs, MI and was the daughter of Wayne Van Dyke and Shirley Payton Van Dyke. She was a graduate of Brandy Wine High School in Niles, MI and attended Mitchell Community College. On February 7, 2004, she married Jody Lawson, who survives. Terry was a woman of who enjoyed life. Among her many pleasures in life, which included wood carving, gardening, and quilting, Terry was often referred to as the "Domestic Goddess." She was preceded in death by her aunt, Sheila Robbins. In addition to her husband, Jody, and her parents, Wayne and Shirley Van Dyke, Terry is survived by her two daughters, Gwen Browning (Johnathan) of Statesville and Jessica Sears of Union Grove. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Emmalynn Browning and Jocelyn York along with two grandsons, Riley and Willis Browning. She is further survived by two brothers, Jeff Buck (Anita) and Rodney Buck, both of Indiana and a sister, Patricia Roberts (Rodney) of Hiddenite along with a number of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Henry Cook officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the celebration of life service.
