Sue Morrison Compton

Sue Morrison Compton, 87, of Troutman, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Serenity House. Born in Iredell County on June 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John Morrison and Carrie Icenhour Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Coolidge Compton and two brothers, Steve Morrison and John Morrison, Jr. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. She worked last at Piedmont Fastener Company in the payroll dept. Survivors include her children: Susan Sampsel (Harry), Gary Compton, Judy Watt and Ron Compton (Brenda Gail). Also surviving are her siblings: Lewis Morrison, Donald Morrison, Betty Winecoff and Cynthia Guy. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. today (Friday) at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Loudermilk officiating.
