Sue Evelyn Johnson Keller, 78, formerly of Brandon Street, passed away Saturday, December 03, 2011 at Gordon Hospice House of Statesville, NC. Mrs. Keller was born March 1, 1933 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Thomas Anderson Johnson and Edna Stewart Johnson. She was a graduate of Statesville High School and Columbia College. Mrs. Keller was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and in many weddings. For 24 years she worked at Stimpson Hosery Mills doing clerical work and was a very Christian Lady. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Troy Elree Keller in 2004, and a sister Vi Hollar. She is survived by two daughters Torie Ammon (Andy) and Lockley Neely (Andy) of Statesville, three grand-daughters Amber Porter, Brayden Neely of Statesville, and Lindsay McKinney (Josh) of Huntersville, and one grandson Caleb Porter of Huntersville. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Gehring officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Andy Ammon, Andrew Neely, Josh McKinney, Caleb Porter, Oscar Guiterrez and Harold Sain.
