Sue Hartline Misenheimer

Sue Carolyn Hartline Misenheimer of Statesville passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the age of 90. Sue was born in Iredell County on July 10, 1932 to the late Harry Josiah and Leona Allen Hartline.

Sue was married to Homer Misenheimer for 52 years, prior to his death in 2006. Sue and Homer leave behind 4 children; sons Timothy Misenheimer and Kelly Misenheimer (Amanda), daughters Lori Hopper (Paul) and Amy Tsolis (Chris), and 3 grandchildren; Keri & Abby Misenheimer and Samuel Tsolis.

Sue was a lifetime member of 1st Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Statesville and a member of the Marshburn Bible Class for many years. She worked at JC Penney Distribution Center for a number of years and retired from FlexKnit/Bali. After her retirement, she and Homer enjoyed many day trips and drives through the mountains of North Carolina.

Sue was an artist, painting the 1st ARP Church for her family on reclaimed wood from the old Sunday School building. She enjoyed word puzzles and had a soft spot for kittens, rescuing many over the years.

Sue derived the most joy was the many hours she spent with her family. She was preceeded in death by brothers David and John Hartline, and sisters Bobbie H. Ritchie, Ryta Leigh Sherrill, RubyAnn Parlier, Judith H.Brawley, Alice Leona Hartline and infant Sadie Hartline.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11:00am at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
