Mrs. Shirley Sigmon Galliher, 83, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Galliher was born in Iredell County on January 20, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Clyde Sigmon and Grace Ann Shook Sigmon. She was a graduate of Celeste Henkel School and on January 20, 1960, she married Billy D Galliher and together they shared 59 years of marriage until her passing.
Mrs. Galliher was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother to her children, and grandmother to her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Billy Galliher, Jr (Amy) of Statesville and Jeffrey Freeze (Michele) of Hiddenite and one daughter, Betty Ann Kleinhans of Statesville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Eric Freeze (Rachel), Justin Freeze, Jamie Freeze and Courtney McLain (Ben) and one great grandchild Rosie McLain. She is further survived by two sisters, Betty Starrette and Kaye S. Davidson (Jack) and one brother, Paul Sigmon (Ila Mae), all of Statesville.
Funeral services honoring the life of Shirley Galliher will be conducted at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Flack officiating. Burial to follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home.
