Sherle L. Monheim

d. December 25, 2014

Sherle L. Monheim, 69, passed away in Statesville, NC on December 25, 2014, after her long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Sherle is preceded in death by her father John P. Morgan Sr, and her mother Rose Marie Morgan. She is survived by her Husband, Walt Monheim, her brother John P. Morgan (Julia), her four children, Thomas Foerster (Marie), Richard Monheim (Mary), Penny Skerhutt (Steve) and Kandey Stroud (Paul). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Sherle was a long time resident of Eagle River, WI. In her early years in the Northwoods she helped run a greenhouse and landscape business. She spent several years working at Vilas Title but really excelled at her alterations having worked with DeByle's for many years and later having her own business office within Eagle Cleaners. Her real passions however were in the world of horses and dogs. She and her husband successfully ran Bits and Wheels Ranch for over 20 years giving sleigh rides and hay rides at their ranch in Eagle River and at various events in the surrounding towns as well as raising, breeding and training horses. For many years she was also an avid member in the Therapy Dog Association. Sherle spentcountless hours training with her Chocolate Lab, "Trey" and visiting area retirement homesto help sooth those that needed some animal companionship. She and her husband, with their Labs, were also very active in hunt clubs and hunt tests. Sherle had an unmatched ability to choose animals that were right for others and for her own family needs. She could make a decision based on a picture, based on a feeling or even based on a look they gave her and never missed a beat. It was something to behold, cherish and will be missed. It has been said that "she cooked her way into the hearts of many" when she was with a group, be it a hunt club, a saddle club or any gathering she would somehow become the "camp cook" the"camp mom" and always a go to for organizing and planning. She was very passionate about her animals and the involvement with them and just as passionate about her children. Her greatest love, her husband, surpassed all this though in how well they worked together. How well they played together and how hard they just loved one another. She will be dearly missed, never forgotten and cherished for always. We love you "Wife", "Mom" and "Grandma".
