Shane Waters

Hoyt Shane Waters, 50, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at his home. Mr. Waters was born September 1, 1960 in Iredell County and was the son of Fate Gene Waters and Wanda Stamper Waters, both whom survive. Mr. Waters was a graduate of South Iredell High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was self employed as a carpenter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waters is also survived by one son, Jacob Waters of Statesville; two sisters, Renee Waters Blackwelder of Mooresville and Marie Waters of Waldof, MD. He is also survived by two brothers, Brian Waters of Statesville and Matthew Waters of Raleigh, N.C. Mr. Waters is further survived by his girlfriend, Julene Lasswell of Mooresville and one aunt, Pure Fox of Statesville. Funeral arrangements will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, June 10, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Black officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.
