Samuel Louis Bustle

Samuel Louis Bustle, 77, of Statesville passed peacefully in his sleep on July 20, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House, Statesville. Born in Iredell County on July 2, 1939, he was a son of the late Joseph Bustle and Mamie Forsyth Bustle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Mary Lou Brown and Greta Bustle and brother Allen Bustle. He is survived by brother H. Grier Bustle, sister-in-law Shirley Bustle and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church since 1953 and though it has been years since he was able to attend services, he enjoyed listening to the recorded church services. He had a great smile and loved visiting with family, church members and friends. The family wishes to thank his many care givers over the years and most recently the caring staff of Hospice House. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will return to the Fellowship Hall following the graveside service to visit with friends. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church and Gordon Hospice House of Statesville.
