Samuel "Sam" Albert Sharpe, Jr., died Monday, November 29, 2021.

He was born in White Sulphur Springs, Montana on November 11, 1962, to the late Samuel A. Sharpe, Sr., and Betty Anthony Sharpe. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Lumsden and a granddaughter, Olivia Beaver.

Sam was a graduate of West Iredell High School and served in the Army National Guard. He was self-employed for over 10 years and was currently employed with VIP Workforce. Sam loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sheila McHargue Sharpe, two sons, Nic Sharpe, Kevin King, two daughters, Megan Sharpe (Daniel Beaver), Christina Childers (David), a sister, Peggy Robbins (Mark), 10 grandchildren, Tyler Broome, Monica Wall (Phillip), Steven Childers, Elly Childers, Danielle Beaver, Kathrine Beaver, Dylan Parsons, Sammy King, Makayla King, Jacquelyn King, and one great-grandchild, Phillip Byron Wall.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, at 6:00 pm at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ervel Jones officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
