Sallie J. Mitchell

Sallie Jane Jones Mitchell, 61, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Gordon Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Jones and Fannie Anthony Jones and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Mitchell was married to Robert Lee Mitchell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Morrison Jones and Dorothy Michelle Mitchell; two grandsons, Matthew Jones and Carolos A. Mitchell and one granddaughter, Amanda Martin. She is further survived by one brother, William Thomas Jones, Jr. and a sister, Linda Sue Jones Martin. An aunt, Lilly Heller and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. There has been no formal service scheduled. Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Sallie J. Mitchell.
