Ruby Mchargue Dellinger

Ruby McHargue Dellinger, 86 of Statesville passed away and went to be with her loved ones who have already gone to heaven on Thursday, September 1, 2022.

She was born on May 16, 1936, to the late Earnest and Ina Head McHargue. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Betty Lou McHargue, Annie Bell Marlow, Leeomia Dishman, Mary Clanton, Effie Daniels, Sarah Clanton, and two brothers, Clyde McHargue and Paul McHargue.

On November 28, 1959, she married Roy Dellinger who survives. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Ruby loved tending to her flower gardens and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy Lee Dellinger, three children, Brenda Munday (Larry), Linda Bailey (Troy), Nelson Dellinger (Judy), eight grandchildren, Christopher Elder, Casey Elder (Malinda), Crystal Miller, Heather Munday, Hannah Munday, Danna Sanders, Brandon Dellinger (Ashley), Alex Frye (Matt), seven great-grandchildren, Emma, Adyson, Tanner, Isaac, Braelynn, Brenley, Archie, a sister Sadie Harris (Joe), and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 4:00 pm at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Moore officiating. The family will visit with friends in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Family Life Center following the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Dellinger, Christopher Elder, Casey Elder, Tony Clanton, Joe Anderson and Don Anderson.

A special thanks to Trinity Fire and Rescue first responders and Iredell County EMS.
