Ruby Lorene Cash

Ruby Lorene Lynch Cash, 90, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House.



Mrs. Cash was born February 20, 1928 in Broadnax, VA and was the daughter of the late John Newsome Lynch and Ruby Belle Wray Lynch Smith. She attended schools in Broadnax, VA and was married to the late Harold Ralph Cash. She was a member of Covenant ARP Church and previously worked at Jantzen Knitting Mills.



Mrs. Cash is survived by one son, Leon Cash (Sarah) of Statesville, two daughters, Dianne Cash Elliott of Claremont, Janice Cash Johnson (Phillip) of Statesville, eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two sisters, Delphine L. Harris of South Hill, VA and Shirley L. Morris of Durham.



In addition to her husband and parents, Lorene was preceded in death by seven siblings and a son-in-law, Michael Allen Elliott.



Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday night 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Doug Cash, Ken Church, Adam McElory, Evan Hill, Mike Fulbright, Thomas Fulbright and Kentrell Brown.
