Mrs. Ruby Faye Deal Money, 93, of Statesville, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on September 13, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Lloyd Deal and Margaret Keever Deal. On December 22, 1945, she married Mr. Glenn William Money who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, David and Luther Deal. Ruby was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church and loved her church family. She graduated from Scotts High School and was a seamstress formerly with Stimpson Hosiery Mill and later Orbit Industries. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandkids, beach trips, watching her family play sports, reading, going to Belk's to shop, watching the Atlanta Braves and playing cards. Survivors include two daughters, Glenda M. Elliott and Janet M. Warren (Mike) all of Statesville, a brother, Glenn Deal (Shirley) of Statesville and grandchildren: Jennifer Edwards (Jimmy), Wendy Sherrill (Doug), Tammy Pope (Robbie), Bradley Warren (Lorrie), Brandi Miller (Rob), Ashley Parker (Stephen) and Zachary Elliott (Kristin). Also surviving are great grandchildren: Landon Edwards, Brett Pope, Kaylee Sherrill, Luke Edwards, Leanna Sherrill, Brady Pope, Makayla Warren, Matt Sherrill, Josh Sherrill, Brice Warren, Trevor Parker, Taylor Parker and Hadley Elliott. Services celebrating Ruby's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2017, at Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kyle Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. Active Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Edwards, Doug Sherrill, Robbie Pope, Bradley Warren, Stephen Parker, Rob Miller and Zachary Elliott. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Her Great Grandsons, and asked to sit as an honorary group will be Members of the Stevenson-Stikeleather Sunday School Class and the Concord Presbyterian Church Women's Circle Group.
