Ronda Berry

Ronda York Berry, 55, of Conover, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 29, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Berry was born October 30, 1961 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Lawrence Bryant York and Maggie Curlee York. She was a graduate of Iredell County schools and on August 12, 1988, was married to Cecil "Lenny" Berry, who survives. In her earlier years, she worked for Southwood Furniture and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved snow, snowmen, her animals, cooking and yard sales. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Amber York Holifield (Aaron) of Newton, Brandy York Troutman (Matthew) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL., one son, Brad York (Danielle) of Troutman, one granddaughter, Hallie York, one grandson, Dj York, one step-son, David Berry, one step-daughter, Jackie Kahill (Michael), four step grandchildren, Kyndal Kahill, Katy Kahill, Hannah Berry, Bergin Berry; three brothers, Melvin B. York (Tammy) of Stony Point, Jody L. York (Brenda) of Hudson, Wayne B. York (Anita) of Union Grove, one sister, Vickie R. York of Stony Point, 13 nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Bridget Regina York. Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with her brother, Jody York officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. before the service.
