Ronald Everette Trivette

Ronald Everette Trivette, 71, of Love Valley, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was born in Forsyth County on January 8, 1944 to the late Mack and Dorothy Vogler Trivette. Mr. Trivette was a graduate of Fork Union Military School in Fork Union, Va. and attended Jacksonville Institute of Technology in Jacksonville, Fla. and also High Point College. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Betty Parker Trivette who passed away in 1999. He later married Tonda Barker Trivette in 2004, who survives. He was a member of Love Valley Presbyterian Church where served as an Elder. He was a self-employed general contractor and had previously worked for Lowes as an in house contractor for a number of years. He served on the Love Valley Town Council for several years. In addition to his parents and first wife, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Trivette; and his father-in-law, Andy Barker. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tonda Barker Trivette, of the home; two sons, Randy Trivette (Sonya) of Statesville and Philip Trivette (Gina) of Love Valley; a stepson, Jeff Smith (Kim) of Clinton, SC; a stepdaughter, Angie Stringer (Maynard) of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Zack and Savannah Trivette, Cole and Chase Trivette, Mary Grace Smith, Holt Smith, and Sam Stringer; and his mother-in-law, Eleanor S. Barker. Funeral services for Mr. Trivette will be held 11:00AM Friday, November 6, 2015 at Love Valley Presbyterian Church with Rev. Clyde Cook and Rev. Bill Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Iredell American Legion Post 113 of Harmony. The family will visit with friends following the service at the church or at the home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Iredell County and Home Instead in Home Care for the care and love they provided for the Trivette family.
