Romona Sue Alexander

Mrs. Romona Sue Whitley Alexander, 74, of Statesville, passed away, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Alexander was born January 13, 1943 in Davie County and was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Bruce Whitley and Hilda Holthouser Whitley. She was a graduate of Cool Spring High School and was married to the late Parks Mitchell Alexander, who died in 2013. She was retired from Bali Company and enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching TV. Mrs. Alexander is survived by one son, Cary Parks Alexander of the home. A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Beulah Church Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sponberg and his staff at Iredell Memorial Hospital and also to Joanne and Stephanie at Maple Leaf Health Care.
