Robert Philmore Reavis Iii

Robert Philmore Reavis III, 74, of McLeansville, NC passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on February 11, 1942 to the late Robert P. Reavis II and Lucille Crawford Reavis. Robert was a graduate of Scotts High School and Western Carolina University. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Robert was a creative person whose talents were unlimited. He was a gifted artist and wrote music. He loved creative writing and wrote many poems and books. His talents extended to cars where he was a gifted mechanic and an expert in Jaguars. Robert had a love for animals especially his cat, Dio. Left to cherish his memory, are his three brothers, Philip Edward Reavis (Pinky) of Statesville, Donald Reavis of Statesville, and Thomas Wade Reavis (Jennifer) of Raleigh; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to honor Robert's life will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Parks and Rev. Keith Bowman officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 6:00 until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
