Robert Neil Hallet

Robert "Bob" Neil Hallet, 87, of Statesville died Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.

He was born in Monroe County, PA to the late Robert F. Hallet and Mary L. Werkheiser Hallet.

Bob had owned two restaurants in Pennsylvania, and was well known for Hallet's Cozy Corner which served all American food. He had worked for Patterson Kelley prior to his retirement. For over 20 years, Bob played for an organized baseball in PA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his son, Dean. He loved the New York Yankees and Giants and Notre Dame college football. Bob enjoyed classic cars. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with them.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 68 years, Doris Ann Bennett Hallet, son, Dean Hallet (Kathleen) of Virginia, daughter, Kim Butz of Statesville, a special friend whom he thought of as a daughter, Theresa Barba, three grandchildren, Jennifer Hallet, Robert T. Hallet (Kara), Jeffrey C. Butz (Tessa), and four great-grandchildren, Leo Hallet, Landon Hallet, Koda Butz, and Westlynn Butz.

Private services will be held.
