Richard Allen Shroyer

Richard Allen Shroyer, 77, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023.

Richard was born in Cumberland, Maryland, May 2, 1945, to the late Edgar Allen Shroyer and the late Mrs. Martha Taylor Shroyer Moore. Mr. Shroyer proudly served in the U.S Army from 1966 to 1969. He attended and graduated from Gaston Technical College and UNC Charlotte with a master's degree. Richard retired as a guidance counselor at Statesville High School. He was also Founder and Manager of Statesville radio station WWRO. Richard was an active member of The American Legion Post 65. He was also a member of the Grace Alliance Fellowship.

He is survived by his brothers, Gary Shroyer (Sabrina), James Moore and Robert Moore (Lisa), God-Child Rhonda Huthmacher (Dan); many nieces and nephews.
