Rev. James Dyer Justice

Rev. James Dyer Justice Jr., 58, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 11, 2015 at Davis Regional Hospital. He was born in Charlotte, NC on May 13, 1957 to late James Dyer Justice Sr. and Jacquelyn Miller Justice, who survives. Jim was a graduate of Statesville Senior High Class of 1976 and then served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a degree in Psychology and later graduated from Southeastern Seminary. On March 19, 1991, he married Shawn Rouse Justice, who survives. He served as Minister at Brinson Baptist Church in Brinson, GA and was later called to be interim Minister at Hiddenite Baptist Church. While serving as interim pastor, he taught school at Statesville High School in Family and Consumer Science before being called to be full time Pastor in 2010.
