Rev. Albert Kenneth Carpenter

Rev. Albert Kenneth Carpenter, 79, of Appling, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home. Born in Wake County, N.C., he was a son of the late Hildred Boyden Carpenter and Virgie Mae Adkers Carpenter. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Eastern Airlines ramp services. Survivors include his wife, Donna Holcomb Carpenter, sons, Shawn (Jane), Keith (Lori) and Tweed (Ramona) Carpenter, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 172 Old Wesley Rd., Hamptonville, with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Rev. James Ramsey officiating. He will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service while the family greets friends and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
