Ray Arnold Mosley, Jr.

Mr. Ray Arnold Mosley, Jr., 78, of Statesville, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Siloam, N.C. Born in Surry County on June 16, 1939, he was a son of the late Ray Arnold Mosley, Sr. and Virginia Davis Mosley. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, fishing and eating with his friends at McDonalds. Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Tucker, a son, Adam Mosley, two daughters, Janet Holderby (Allen) and Shelia Beacham (Scott Beacham, Sr.). Also surviving are brothers , Jay Hugh Mosley and Graham Mosley, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his best friend, James Childress. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Mitchell and James Childress officiating. He will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 in the church sanctuary prior to the service. Burial will follow at 11:00 Monday at the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Siloam, N.C. Condolences may be sent online to the family to www.nicholsonfunerals.com.
