Ralph Dillard Jarvis, Sr., of Statesville, died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born November 26, 1946 to the late William Clifford and Mildred Call Jarvis. Ralph was predeceased by 4 brothers.
Mr. Jarvis attended Iredell County schools and retired from General Electric. He was a member of Landmark Church of God where he served as a greeter and volunteered with the food distribution ministry. He loved camping and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
Mr. Jarvis married the former Sue Bennett on May 8, 1964, who survives him. Also surviving are a son, Ralph Jarvis, Jr. (Mary Jane), 3 grandsons: Junior Leigh Jarvis, Chris Jarvis and Bobby Parsons, 2 great-grandsons: Micah and Malachi Jarvis, and a sister, Virginia Greer.
Services celebrating the life of Mr. Jarvis will be held at 4:00 Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Landmark Church of God with Bishop Phil Pearson officiating. The family will visit with family and friends 1 hour prior to the service.
