Rachel Reavis

Rachel Black Reavis, 73, of Statesville passed away, June 6, 2017. Ms. Reavis was born June 25, 1943 in Fyffe, AL and was the daughter of the late Eli Black and Ophelia Jackson Black. She was a member of Front Street Baptist Church and was retired from Zimmer Surgical Products. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her camper in the mountains of West Jefferson. She also enjoyed gardening and always had a flower or rose to share with everyone she met. She is survived by two daughters, Chandra Jordan (Todd) and Stephanie Wallace (Allen), two grandsons, Parker and Hunter Jordan and three grandpuppies, Jack Jordan, Sammy and Rosie Wallace. She is further survived by her former husband, Johnny Lee Reavis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Lee Reavis. A private family service will be held.
