Peter Eugene Bullock

Peter Eugene Bullock of Statesville North Carolina went to be with his Lord & Savior June 20, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his devoted wife and wonderful sons. Mr. Bullock was born January 6, 1962 in Neshanic Station New Jersey. August 10th, 1997, he married the former Allison Leigh Rogers (who he adored), and who survives. He is also survived by two sons that he adored, David Allen Bullock, and Thomas Peter Bullock of the home. He is also survived by his wonderful mother Minerva Bullock and a wonderful sister Karen Bullock, both of Davidson North Carolina. He is also survived by a brother Richard Bullock, his wife Joann, and nieces Stephanie and Molly of New Jersey. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Laura Ballard (Tony) of Statesville and a niece Brittany Whitaker (Wesley) nephews Nolan, Easton & Hudson Whitaker all of Statesville, NC. He was preceded in death by his father David Gary Bullock. Mr. Bullock was a member of the Neshanic Volunteer Fire Department in New Jersey for a number of years. He graduated from Somerville High School in New Jersey. He earned the rank of Life Scout of Troop 1776 in New Jersey. He learned the trade of machinist and was a machinist in New Jersey & North Carolina. Peter worked for Energy United in Statesville, North Carolina for 27 years as the Service Technician. He worked with the Boy Scouts for 10 years and just received recognition for his dedication and service to BSA Troop 363. Peter loved working outside and making his home and surroundings beautiful. He had a love for plants and flowers which he learned from his mom Minerva. He loved his family and enjoyed his extended family which was his friends at Energy United, Boy Scouts, and his friends at New Salem United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by all of these. Peter attended New Salem United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Saturday June 24th, 2017 at Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville, North Carolina. The celebration of Mr. Bullock's life will be held at New Salem United Methodist Church 155 New Salem Rd. Statesville, North Carolina at 2PM Sunday June 25th, 2017 with the reverend David Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Church Cemetery. The pallbearers will be: Todd Brown, Bob Koontz, Eddie Liles, Tony Ballard, Ben Ward & Larry Coover. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Scout troop 363. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Salem United Methodist Church at 155 New Salem Road, Statesville, NC; or the Charity of your choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Todd Brown and Bob Koontz for always being there for the family in whatever capacity they were needed. There are no words to express the appreciation the family has for these two gentlemen that worked with Peter at Energy United.
