Peggy Joyce Fox

Peggy Joyce Waugh Fox, 71, of Statesville, died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.



Mrs. Fox was born in Iredell County on February 14, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Ed Waugh and Betty Josey James. She was a graduate of Statesville High School and attended Barnette Beauty College. She married Mickey Franklin Fox, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1980.



Mrs. Fox worked at Cut & Curl Beauty Salon as a hairdresser.



While her health would allow, she loved being outdoors working in her yard and with her flowers.



In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles Waugh.



Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Brad Fox (Christy) and Kevin Fox, both of Statesville along with three grandchildren, Luke Fox and Mikki Fox, both of Statesville and Lacey Fox of Wilmington. She is also survived by Linda Bolton (Mike) of Stony Point and Jerry Waugh of Seattle, WA. A host of nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive.



Funeral services honoring the life of Peggy Fox will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, November 5, 2018 at Front Street Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Stutts officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 10 until 11 AM at the church.
