Peggy Ann Gaither

Peggy Ann Baldwin Gaither, 79, of Statesville, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 25, 1938 in Virginia to the late Thomas and Zola Mae Howell Baldwin.



Peggy was a graduate of Harmony High School. She was married to Robert Eugene Gaither who preceded her in death in July of 2004. Peggy was self-employed with Draperies by Peggy and created many works of art. She was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ. Peggy was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and servant of the Lord.



Along with her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ken and Roy Baldwin.



Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Genia Wicker (Les) of Candler, NC and Sandy West (Glenn) of Statesville; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild with another on the way. She is further survived by two brothers, Buddy Baldwin (Pat) of Statesville and Darrell Baldwin (Lois) of West Jefferson, NC.



Funeral services will be held 3;00 pm Friday, March 2, 2018 at Broad Street Church of Christ with Ministers Dave Wood and Robert Golf officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Nicholson Funeral Home.
