Pauline "Prissy" Jenkins

Mrs. Pauline Miller "Prissy" Jenkins, 71, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Jenkins was born May 20, 1944, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Henry Shelton Miller, Sr. and Pauline Sykes Miller. She was a graduate of Statesville city schools and on December 28, 1963, she married Richard Benjamin Jenkins, Jr. who preceded her in death on October 10, 2003. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church and she was retired as the owner of Master Cleaning Service. Mrs. Jenkins was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Miller and a son-in-law, Bill Hurt. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Jennifer Hurt and a son, Ben Jenkins (Nancy), both of Statesville; two brothers, Preston Miller of Statesville and Dr. Henry S. Miller, Jr. (Beverly) of Charleston, SC along with a sister, Alice Livingston (Phil) of Duluth, GA. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Ashley Jenkins of Columbia, SC and Cameron Jenkins of Statesville along with four grandsons, Benjamin Liles (Brittany), Byron Hurt, Nathan Hurt and Owen Hurt, all of Statesville. Graveside funeral services for Prissy Jenkins will be conducted at 10:30 AM Friday, June 26, 2015, at New Salem UMC Cemetery with Rev. David Gay officiating. The family will visit with friends following the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Lonely Children's Fund, PO Box 1146, Statesville, NC 28687, or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
