Pauline Barkley Poole

Mrs. Sarah Pauline Barkley Poole, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Brian Center of Statesville. She was born June 2, 1926 to Hugh Alexander Barkley and Ruby Munday Barkley. Pauline was extremely proud of and blessed by her children. Surviving are Paul Poole(Brenda), Carol Jane Poole, Donnie Poole (Marjorie) and son-in-law, Eddie Lanier. She was preceded in death by Judy Poole Lanier and Bobby Jack Poole. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Also surviving her are two sisters, Jane B. Robbins (Mack) and Katie B. Millsaps. She was preceded in death by five siblings: May Hooper, Dorothy Smith, Rosalie McCreary, Hazel Rodgerson and Hubert Barkley. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Dr. Andy Lackey officiating. Friends may stop by Nicholson Funeral Home and pay their respects where she will lie in state until the service.
