Paul Parlier

Paul Santford Parlier, 84, of Statesville, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011, at The Gardens of Statesville. Mr. Parlier was born May 12, 1926 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Elisha Worth Parlier and Ethel Chappel Parlier. He was a graduate of Statesville High School and on May 15, 1948, he married Ruby Nell Privette, who preceded him in death. Paul and his brother, Bill, started Parlier Plumbing and Heating in March of 1953 and Paul worked there until his retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Parlier is survived by two sons, Michael S. Parlier and Jody B. Parlier (Cathy); grandchildren, Mary Alice, Catherine, and Braiden; one sister, Dorothy Sims, along with four brothers, Bill Parlier (Aileen), Clyde Parlier (Anne), Joe Parlier (Betty) , and Frank Parlier (Carolyn). Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2011 in the Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Porter officiating. The family will visit with friends following the graveside service.
