Paul Gray Nash

Mr. Paul Gray Nash, 83, of High Point and formerly of Statesville, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Hospice Home of High Point. Born in Iredell County on May 23, 1932, he was a son of the late Jessie Owen Nash and Rheba Hoke Nash. He was a retired corporate pilot and always considered himself very fortunate to make a career doing what he loved most. He was a graduate of Statesville High School and High Point College and served in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Korean War and served during the Viet Nam War also. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Elmer Nash, Sr. and Cecil Hoke Nash. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Zimmerman of Trinity and Sherri Maynard of Greensboro, a sister, Barbara Nash Anthony of Statesville, grandchildren: Holly Griffin and Lauren Maynard and great grandchildren: Paris Griffin and River Griffin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 :00 AM Saturday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Dr. J. B. Parker, Jr. officiating.
