Patsy Ruth Beck

Mrs. Patsy (Pat) Ruth Barnes Beck, 83, a resident of Thomasville, passed away peacefully at 6:30pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 17, 1936 in Davidson County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Jennie Barnes. She was retired from Wren Manufacturing, Inc. with fifty years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, decorating, crafting and spending time with her family. She attended Bethel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by son, Donnie Wayne Beck and brothers, Jimmy, Leon and Reid Barnes. On October 3, 1952 she was married to Charles Cobby Edward Beck, Sr. who she will now join in heaven. Surviving are two sons, Charles E. Beck, Jr. and wife Linda and Ronnie L. Beck and wife Gwen both of Thomasville, sisters Sarah Ward of Archdale and Kathy Stabler of Thomasville. She had six grandchildren Michael Beck, Chris Beck, Allison Manning, Lane Beck, Jacob Beck and Sarah Beck all of Thomasville along with ten great grandchildren whom she loved all very dearly. Mamaw Pat was an inspiration to her family and she will be truly missed. A celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 12:00pm in The Life Center of Bethel United Methodist Church at 508 Fisher Ferry Street, Thomasville with Rev. Tim Starbuck officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The Life Center at 11:00am until the funeral service hour. The family request any memorial contributions be directed to Hinkle Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, North Carolina 27292. The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Health Care Center, Lexington Hospital and Hospice of Davidson County for their loving care.
