Patsy Lee Shepherd Haynes, 74, of Hamptonville, passed away, Friday, September 29, 2017 at her home. Ms. Haynes was born March 6, 1943 in Hillsboro, NC to the late John Shepherd and Gertrude Rhodes Shepherd. She attended schools in Ellerbe and Mt. Gilead, NC and on July 4, 1987, she was married to the late Larry Randall Haynes, who passed away February 26, 2017. She was a seamstress and later became a caregiver. She was a member of Winthrop Friends Meeting, loved sewing, working with her flowers and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by four daughters, Teresa Ann Giddings and husband, John of England, Sandra Biggs of Union Grove, Tonya Spangle of Salisbury, Julie Troutman of Harmony; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Horne of Rockingham, NC, Delma Menendez of Coco Beach, FL and one brother, Eddie Shepherd of Rockingham, NC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carla McDaniels and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie Grace and Bailey Faith McDaniels. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Winthrop Friends Meeting from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and the funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Harold Salmons and Alec Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
